KEYSTONE JR./SR. HIGH SCHOOLEnglish 7Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s), Welcome to the 7th Grade English class! In an effort to assist with a smooth transition into high school, I would like to provide for you information needed in orderfor your student to be successful in my seventh grade classroom.
The first item on the list is involvement. An academically successful student should have three different levels of involvement. First, the teacher who provides the academics, assistance when needed, and the grading that the school district requires. The second part of the equation involves you, the parent. You are needed to provide nourishment for the stomach and for the mind to show your child how to be responsible for their work. The final and most important part of the equation is the student. Students are responsible for coming to class prepared, completing assignments, and doing their very best academically.
In English 7, we will be using our class website as an important supplement to class. It includes a calendar with homework assignments and upcoming tests, vocabulary lists and extra resources. You will also be able to visit the website to learn about what we’re covering in class. The URL is
The next items that I require for my seventh grade classes are as follows:
    • 1 three-ring binder with paper OR a 1 Subject Notebook
    • 1 Folder (used for English class only)
    • 1 pencil
